46A-7A-56. Supplemental or amendatory contracts with United States. The board, whenever it deems it in the best interests of the district, has the power and authority to enter into any contract with the United States supplementing or amending any original contract with the United States, provided that such supplementary or amendatory contract does not increase the amount of principal indebtedness of the district to the United States as it exists at that date.
