46A-7A-67. Board taking conveyances of property--Actions to carry out chapter or enforce rights. The board may take conveyance or other assurance for any property acquired by it under the provisions of this chapter in the name of the district for the uses and purposes herein expressed; may institute and maintain any action and proceeding at law or in equity as necessary or proper in order to carry out fully the provisions of this chapter; and may enforce, maintain, protect, or preserve any rights, privileges, and immunities created by this chapter or acquired in pursuance thereof. In any action or proceeding, the board may sue, appear, or defend, in person or by attorney, in the name of the district.
