§ 3730. Negligence of employee; penalty

An engineer, fireman or other agent of a railroad who is guilty of negligence or carelessness, whereby an injury is done to a person or corporation, shall be imprisoned not more than one year or fined not more than $1,000.00, or both. This section shall not exempt a person or corporation from an action for damages. (Amended 1981, No. 223 (Adj. Sess.), § 23.)
