§ 33.1-23.03:002. Goals for addressing transportation needs of populationswith limited mobility.

The Commonwealth Transportation Board, in cooperation with other local,regional, or statewide agencies and entities vested with transportationplanning responsibilities, shall establish specific mobility goals foraddressing the transportation needs of populations with limited mobility,including, but not necessarily limited to, the elderly, persons withdisabilities that limit their mobility, persons not served by any form ofmass transit, and those who, for whatever reasons, cannot afford motorvehicles or cannot be licensed to drive them. Such goals, once established,shall be considered in the development and implementation of the StatewideTransportation Plan required by § 33.1-23.03.
