§ 33.1-23.03:6. Funding for extraordinary repairs.

Notwithstanding any contrary provision of the Code, the CommonwealthTransportation Board shall have the authority to provide, from revenuesavailable for highway capital improvements under § 33.1-23.03:2, except forrevenues pledged to secure any bonds issued for transportation purposes, forexceptionally heavy expenditures for repairs or replacements made necessaryby highway damage resulting from extraordinary accidents, vandalism, weatherconditions, or acts of God as well as to respond to federal fundinginitiatives which require matching funds.
