§ 54.1-2910.01. Practitioner information provided to patients.

Upon request by a patient, doctors of medicine, osteopathy, and podiatryshall inform the patient about the following:

1. Procedures to access information on the doctor compiled by the Board ofMedicine pursuant to § 54.1-2910.1; and

2. If the patient is not covered by a health insurance plan that the doctoraccepts or a managed care health insurance plan in which the doctorparticipates, the patient may be subject to the doctor's full charge whichmay be greater than the health plan's allowable charge.
