§269-26  Investigation of water ratescharged by lessee under state leases.  The public utilities commissionshall investigate charges made by all persons for water supplied to consumersfor domestic uses and purposes, where the water supplied is secured by virtueof a lease from the State, requiring rates to be fixed by the licensee with theapproval of the department of land and natural resources.  If it appears uponinvestigation that the water supplied to consumers for domestic uses andpurposes is by virtue of a lease requiring rates to be fixed by the licensee,with the approval of the department, then the public utilities commission shallreport to the department the result of the investigation, and whether the ratescharged to consumers are reasonable or not.
