§271-38  Enforcement.  At the request ofthe public utilities commission, the department of transportation shall assigna motor vehicle safety officer employed by the department of transportation toassist in the enforcement of sections 271-8, 271-12, 271-13, 271-19, and271-29, through the assessment of civil penalties as provided in section271-27(h), (i), and (j).
