§287-24  Motor vehicle liability policydefined.  A "motor vehicle liability policy" as used in thischapter means an owner's or a driver's policy of liability insurance, certifiedas provided in section 287-22 or section 287-23 as proof of financial responsibility,and issued, except as otherwise provided in section 287-23, by an insurancecarrier duly authorized to transact business in the State, to or for thebenefit of the person named therein as insured.
