§288-3  Common carriers of passengers to beinsured.  It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle common carrier ofpassengers to operate upon or use the public streets or highways of the severalcounties until it has filed with the treasurer or director of finance of thecounty in which it is to operate the written certificate of any insurer dulyauthorized to do business in the State certifying that there is in effect apolicy of liability insurance for the benefit of the carrier.
