[§302A-1138]  Permit to leave grounds. All principals in the public schools, upon the written request of the parent,guardian, or other person having the care and control of any pupil attendingany public school, shall permit any such pupil to leave the school groundsduring intermissions.  Any principal granting such a permit shall not be heldliable for the action of the pupil during the intermissions and while the pupilremains outside of the school grounds.
