[§302A-805.5]  Approval of teachereducation programs; professional development of teachers.  The board shallbe responsible for approving teacher education programs that meet the standardsestablished by the board.  The board may engage in efforts relating to theimprovement of instruction through teacher education and professionaldevelopment, and to attract qualified candidates for teacher training fromamong the high school graduates of the State.
