§286‑113  Release from liability. [Repeal and reenactment on January 9, 2011.  L 2005, c 72, §15.]  Anyperson who has signed the application of a minor for an instruction permit,provisional license, or driver's license may file with the examiner of driversa verified written request that the permit, provisional license, or license ofthe minor be canceled, together with the permit, provisional license, orlicense issued.  Upon receipt of the request, the examiner of drivers shallcancel the permit, provisional license, or license of the minor and the personwho signed the application of the minor shall be relieved from the liabilityimposed under this part for any subsequent negligence or wilful misconduct ofthe minor in operating a motor vehicle.  Nothing herein shall be construed tolimit the liability of parents for the torts of their child as provided inchapter 577.
