[§286-206]  Penalty.  Unless indicatedotherwise, any motor carrier or any agent, employee, or representative thereof,who wilfully and knowingly fails, neglects or refuses to perform any actrequired by this part or by rules adopted by the director under this part shallbe fined not more than $2,000 for each separate offense.  Each date ofviolation shall constitute a separate offense.  An action to impose or collectthe penalty provided in this section shall be considered a civil action.
