[§286-208]  Exemptions, vehicles used byfarmers.  This part shall not apply to motor vehicles used by a farmerexclusively for the farmer's farm operations or to motor vehicles used by afarmer who only infrequently transports from the place of production to awarehouse, regular market, place of storage, or place of shipment, the farmproducts of neighboring farmers in exchange for like or reciprocal services,for farm products, or for a cash consideration not exceeding $1,500 per year;provided that the transportation of farm produce shall constitute the soletransportation of property for hire or compensation and; provided further thateach motor vehicle so used complies with the safety ordinances and rules of thecounty in which it is operated and other applicable state safety laws andrules.
