§286-239.5 - Reactivation of expired commercial driver's license; fees; road test waived.
[§286-239.5] Reactivation of expiredcommercial driver's license; fees; road test waived. (a) Unless revokedor suspended, and except as provided in subsection (b), any commercial driver'slicense that has expired under section 286-239 may be reactivated by thelicensee in accordance with the requirements and procedures set forth for therenewal of commercial drivers' licenses under section 286-239(h). No personseeking reactivation of an expired commercial driver's license under thissubsection shall be required to undergo reexamination of the person's drivingskills under section 286-236. The examiner of drivers shall require the holderof an expired commercial driver's license to pay a reactivation fee of $5 foreach thirty-day period, or fraction thereof, that has elapsed after aninety-day grace period.
(b) Any commercial driver's license notreactivated under subsection (a) within one year of the indicated date ofexpiration shall be invalid. The examiner of drivers shall examine anapplicant whose commercial driver's license has been declared invalid underthis subsection in accordance with the licensing procedures established undersections 286-236, 286-238, and 286-239.
