ยง286-60ย Rules of procedure; costs; appeal.ย [2004 amendment repealed June 30, 2010.ย L 2006, c 94, ยง1.] ย The supremecourt may prescribe rules of procedure relating to the appeals and hearingsbefore the district courts.ย An appeal shall lie from the judgment or order ofthe district court to the intermediate appellate court, subject to chapter602.ย The rules shall provide for informal procedure and for minimizing expenseand delay to litigants therein.ย The costs upon such appeal to the districtcourt shall be $1, which may be waived by the court for good cause shown.ย Nocosts shall be chargeable against the county director of finance. ย L 2004, c 202, ยง82 provides:
ย "SECTION 82.ย Appeals pending in the supreme court as ofthe effective date of this Act [July 1, 2006] may be transferred to theintermediate appellate court or retained at the supreme court as the chiefjustice, in the chief justice's sole discretion, directs."
