[§286-9  Facilities for physicallyhandicapped persons.]  The state director of transportation, under thedirector's authority dealing with highway design, construction, and maintenanceand the director's authority dealing with pedestrian safety, shall provide thatappropriate facilities be constructed at certain street locations for the useof physically handicapped persons.
