[§291C-19]  Garages to report.  Theperson in charge of any garage or repair shop to which is brought any motorvehicle which shows evidence of having been involved in an accident of whichwritten report must be made by the driver as provided in chapter 287, or struckby any bullet, shall report to the police department, within twenty-four hoursafter the motor vehicle is received by the garage or repair shop, giving thevehicle identification number, registration number, and the name and address ofthe owner or driver of the vehicle.
