§291C-76  Pedestrians on roadways.  (a) Where sidewalks are provided it shall be unlawful for any pedestrian to walkalong and upon an adjacent roadway, bicycle lane, or bicycle path.

(b)  Where sidewalks are not provided anypedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall, when practicable, walk onlyon the left side of the roadway or its shoulder facing traffic which mayapproach from the opposite direction. [L 1971, c 150, pt of §1; am L 1977, c180, §4]
