18-11-2. Declaration and purpose of act.

The legislature declares that the farming and ranching industry of the state has produced a unique common heritage of which all persons should receive knowledge and benefit.  The purpose of the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum Act [18-11-1 NMSA 1978] is to create a farm and ranch heritage museum, which shall collect, preserve, study and display materials representative of the farming and ranching of the state and region and develop and maintain exhibits and programs of an educational nature for the benefit of the citizens of New Mexico and visitors to the state.
