3-51-28. Enforcement of lien.

The lien of any assessments levied under the Greater Municipality Parking Law [3-51-1 to 3-51-45 NMSA 1978] shall be enforced, when delinquent, by the method now or hereafter provided by statute for the foreclosure of mortgages on real estate. In the event of a foreclosure sale, the municipality may buy in the property for the amount of the balance due on the assessment, including principal, interest, penalties and costs, unless there are higher bids.
