9-22-15. Veterans' services advisory board; created; purpose.

A.     The "veterans' services advisory board" is created, composed of five members from different geographical regions of the state who shall be veterans appointed by the governor.  Members of the board shall serve at the pleasure of the governor.  Members of the board may be paid per diem and mileage as provided in the Per Diem and Mileage Act [10-8-1 NMSA 1978] but shall receive no other compensation, perquisite or allowance.

B.     The veterans' services advisory board shall advise the secretary and the department on matters related to veterans.
