§ 2545. Receipt of marked ballots by town clerk; delivery to election officers
Upon receipt of the envelope containing the marked ballots of an early or absentee voter, the town clerk shall record the fact on the list of early or absentee voters and safely keep the envelope until election day. During the hours that the polls are open, he shall deliver the envelope to the presiding officer in the polling place where the early or absentee voter would have voted if he had voted in person.
