§ 2653. Acceptance of office

A person present at the meeting electing him to municipal office shall be treated as accepting, unless he declines before the meeting is adjourned. When not present, he shall be served as soon as possible with a written notice, signed by the clerk and served by the constable. (Added 1977, No. 269 (Adj. Sess.), § 1.)
