§ 884. Exemption from arrest

Officers, noncommissioned officers, musicians and privates enrolled in this state, while under orders for service under the government of the United States or under authority of this state, except for treason, felony and breach of the peace, shall be privileged from arrest and imprisonment by civil authority, from the date of the issuing of such orders to the time of their discharge from service.
