§ 1029. Municipal signs

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 1025 and 1027 of this title, municipalities may erect alternative signs of a guidance or informational nature and creative design, in accordance with the provisions of subdivision 494(13) of Title 10, to assist persons in reaching destinations that are transportation centers, geographic districts, historic monuments, and significant or unique educational, recreational or cultural landmarks.
