§ 1091. Pension system

A municipality having a population of at least 5,000 according to the latest preceding United States census may adopt a pension system for its employees. However, a municipality having a population of less than five thousand may adopt a pension system for its employees, if such municipality at its annual meeting so votes by a two-thirds vote of the voters present and voting.
