§ 724. Application of chapter

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to interfere with the rights and privileges of physicians and surgeons licensed under the laws of this state. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prohibit an unlicensed person from performing merely mechanical work upon inert matter in a dental office or laboratory. Upon prior application and approval by the board, a student of an accredited dental school or college during his vacation, may perform operations for purposes of clinical study under the supervision and instruction, and in the office of a licensed dentist.
