§ 3354. Advisor appointees

(a) The secretary shall appoint two occupational therapists or an occupational therapist and an occupational therapy assistant to serve as advisors in matters relating to occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. They shall be appointed as set forth in section 129b of Title 3 and serve at the pleasure of the secretary. One of the initial appointments shall be for less than a three-year term.

(b) Appointees shall have at least three years of experience as an occupational therapist during the period immediately preceding appointment and shall be actively practicing occupational therapy in Vermont and remain in good standing during incumbency.

(c) The director shall seek the advice of the occupational therapists appointed under this section in carrying out the provisions of this chapter. These members shall be entitled to compensation and necessary expenses in the amount provided in section 1010 of Title 32 for attendance at any meeting called by the director for this purpose.
