§ 144. Statutory construction
(a) Section 143 of this title shall not preclude prosecution under sections 1801, 1802, or 2002 of Title 13, when the alleged violation involves forging a welfare check or where duplicate welfare checks have been wrongfully negotiated during any one welfare period.
(b) Section 143 of this title shall not preclude prosecution under any other title or sections of this title when the alleged violation is under subsection (c) or (d) of section 141 of this title. (Added 1977, No. 206 (Adj. Sess.), § 3.)
