§ 6103. Independence board

(a) There is hereby established a board within the agency of human services to be known as the "Vermont Independence Board" herein referred to as the "board."

(b) The board shall have five members appointed by the governor consisting of three members active in industry or business in the state; one member representing the elderly in the state; one member representing the handicapped people in the state. The governor shall appoint the chairman from among the members representing business and industry.

(c) Members of the board shall be compensated at the rate of $30.00 a day for time spent in the performance of their duties and they shall be reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. (Added 1981, No. 234 (Adj. Sess.), § 3.)
