1-302. Qualifications for certificate; refusal togrant on moral character grounds.(a) The certificate of certified publicaccountant shallbe known as the Kansas certificate and shall be granted by theboard to any person of good moral character who: (1)Is a resident of this state or has a placeof business or is employed therein; (2) meets theeducational requirementsprescribed by K.S.A.1-302a, and amendments thereto; and (3)has passed anexamination in accounting and auditing and in such other relatedsubjects as the board may determine to be appropriate.
(b) The board may refuse to grant a certificate on the ground of failureto satisfy the good moral character requirement subject to notice and anopportunity for the person to be heard pursuant to the Kansas administrativeprocedures act.
