10-602.   Assignments; release from registration.After the registration of any bond it shall be negotiable only by formalassignment before a notary public, identifying the bond assigned by thename of the municipality issuing the same, the number, date, amount, andsaid assignment shall be acknowledged the same as conveyances of realproperty. All assignments of bonds shall be forwarded to the statetreasurer for endorsement on the state treasurer's records, which recordshall set forth the name and address of the assignee, except when it is thedesire of the registered owner to release the bond from registration andfurther assignment, in which case the bond shall be assigned to "bearer,"and by the state treasurer so endorsed upon his or her records. The statetreasurer shall have printed such forms as may be necessary for use inmaking such assignments which shall be delivered to persons desiring thesame on request.
