12-152. Contracts for electric lighting of streets, hospitals andother public health facilities and for furnishing electric power tohospitals and other public health facilities.The governing body of any city in this state shall have power to enterinto contracts for a term of not to exceed ten (10) years with another orothers for the electric lighting of streets and/or highways or parts ofstreets and/or highways and for hospitals and other public healthfacilities maintained or provided by or under supervision of such cities,for the grounds and premises of such hospitals and other public healthfacilities and for electric power to such hospitals and other public healthfacilities subject to the provisions of this act, whenever in the judgmentof the governing body of any such city the lighting of such streets and/orhighways or parts thereof or of such hospital grounds or the grounds ofother public health facilties and premises and the furnishing of electricpower thereto and therefor is reasonably necessary to promote the publicconvenience, welfare and safety, and if of special benefit to the propertyaffected.
