12-157.   Same; canvass; approval of proposition, effect.The results of such election shall be canvassed and the resultscertified in the same manner as in elections on other questions submittedin such city. If a majority of the votes cast at such election shall be infavor of the proposition such city shall thenceforth be known by the newname so approved.
