12-1218.   City, county and township libraries; definitions.As used in this act unless the context requires a different meaning, thefollowing words, terms and phrases shall have the meaning ascribed to themin this section:

      (a)   "Municipality" shall mean a county, township or incorporated city.

      (b)   "Governing body" shall mean the governing body of a city, the boardof county commissioners of a county, and the township trustee, clerk andtreasurer acting as the township board of a township.

      (c)   "Official head" shall mean the mayor of a city, the chairman of theboard of county commissioners of the county, and the township trustee of atownship.

      (d)   "Library" shall mean a library which serves the general public andis supported in whole or in part with tax money.

      (e)   "Regional library" shall mean a library maintained by two or morecounties, or two or more townships.

      (f)   "Library board" shall mean the board of directors of a library.
