12-1230.   Contracts for library service; tax levy, use of proceeds.The governing body of any municipality not maintaining a library maycontract with any library for the furnishing of library service to suchmunicipality, and to pay the costs of such library service themunicipality is hereby authorized to levy a tax in the amount authorizedto be levied by such municipality for the establishment and maintenanceof a library and, in the case of cities and counties, to pay a portion ofthe principal and interest on bonds issued under the authority of K.S.A.12-1774, and amendments thereto, by cities located in the county.
