      12-1264.   Same; organization of board; officers; meetings; treasurer'sbond; treasurer's reports.(a) Each yearthe members of a library board shallmeet and organize by the election of achairperson, a secretary and a treasurer and such other officers as they maydeem necessary. The board shall fix the date and place of its regularmeetings and special meetings may be called by the chairperson or upon writtenrequest of a majority of the members. Written notice, stating the time andplace of any special meeting and the purpose for which called,unless waived, shall be given to each member of the board at least two days inadvance of such meeting, and no business other than that stated in thenotice shall be transacted at such meeting.

      (b)   The treasurer of the library boardshall give bond, in an amount fixed by the board and approved by thegoverning body of the city and county, for the safekeeping and duedisbursement of all funds that may come into the treasurer's hands. Thebond shall be filed with the clerk of the county. Except whereotherwise provided by law, the county treasurershall pay over to the treasurer of the library board allfunds collected for the maintenance of the library, and the treasurer ofthe library board shall pay out the funds on orders of the board signed bythe secretary and chairperson thereof. Such treasurer shallkeep an accurate record of all moneys received and disbursed therebyand make a report thereof to the library board monthly,or as often as the board requires.
