12-1402. Same; care and control; moneys.Lands acquired for cemetery purposes under the provisions of this act, whenacquired for a city, shall be under the control of thegoverning bodyof the city; and, when acquired for a township, shall be under thecontrolof the township board of such township. Such city or townshipboardshall have full power to make and enforce all necessary rules andregulations pertaining to the custody, control and care of the cemetery bythem, respectively, thus acquired; and to determine and collect the priceto be paid for lots therein.
When such cemetery land shall have been acquired by or for the benefitof two or more townships jointly, the same shall be under control of aboard composed of the township trustees and township clerks of thetownships interested. Such board shall have all the powers herebyvested in the governing body of cities and the township board of townshipsacquiring cemetery property hereunder. Allfundsarising from the sale of lots in any cemetery so acquired shall be appliedsolely to the care and beautifying of such cemetery and the expensesincidental to the maintenance thereof.
