12-1405.   Cemeteries in cities; tax levy.All cities owning and controlling municipalcemeteries, are hereby authorized to make an annual levy of a tax uponall taxable tangible property in the city and townships, owning and controllingmunicipal or township cemeteriesare hereby authorized to make an annual levy of a tax upon all taxabletangible property in the city or township to be expended in makingpermanent improvements in such cemeteries and upkeep of the same and, inthe case of cities, to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bondsissued by such city under the authority of K.S.A.12-1774, and amendments thereto.
