12-1417.   Same; election; debts.Any city or township may, by a majority vote of the electors voting onthe proposition at any regular election, or special election called for thepurpose as other special elections are called and held, authorize anddirect its governing body, or its township board, to accept such managementand control of the business and property of such association or company:Provided, The city or township shall not be held liable for the debtsand other obligations, existing or thereafter created, of such cemeteryassociation or company.
