12-1676.   Inapplicability of act to certain moneys; rates.Except as otherwise provided in K.S.A. 12-1678a, andamendments thereto, the provisions of this act authorizing theinvestment of moneys shall not apply to moneys collected or received bya county for apportionment, credit or distribution to the state or anypolitical subdivision thereof. Interest paid by eligiblebanks, savings and loan associations and savings banks on timedeposit, open accounts, time certificates of deposit and certificates ofdeposit of investing governmental units shall beat rates agreed upon bythe governmental units and the eligible banks, savingsand loan associations or savings banks.
