12-1686.   Same; resolution or ordinance for establishment and operationof museums after approval by electors.Upon the adoption of the proposition by a majority of those votingthereon at the election, the governing body of the city or school districtif acting independently or the joint governing bodies of a city and schooldistrict then acting jointly, shall by appropriate resolution or ordinanceprovide for the establishment, maintenance and conduct of such communityhistorical museum as they deem advisable and practicable and shallestablish a commission to be vested with the powers, duties and obligationsnecessary for the conduct of such community historical museum, the membersof which shall serve without pay.
