Chapter 12.--CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES
Article 17.--BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND GROUNDS

      12-1750.   Unsafe or dangerous structures; abandonedproperty;definitions.As used in this act:

      (a)   "Structure" means any building, wall or other structure.

      (b)   "Enforcing officer" means the building inspector or otherofficer designated by ordinance and charged with the administration of theprovisions of this act.

      (c)   "Abandoned property" means any residential real estate for which taxesare delinquent for the preceding two years and which hasbeen unoccupiedcontinuously by persons legally in possession for the preceding180 days.

      (d)   "Organization" means any nonprofitcorporation organized under the laws of this state andwhich has among its purposes the improvement of housing.

      (e)   "Rehabilitation" means the process of improving the property intocompliance with applicable fire,housing and building codes.

      (f)   "Parties in interest" means any owner or owners of record, judgmentcreditor, tax purchaser or other party having any legal or equitable title orinterest in the property.

      (g)   "Last known address" includes the address where the property is located,or the address as listed in the tax records.
