12-1765.   Leases by political subdivisions, state departmentswithin county or boards of county commissioners.The governing bodies of all school districts, cities, agencies anddepartments of the state of Kansas, and all boards of county commissionersnow located or which may hereafter be located within the county where suchpublic building commission has been created, or all boards of countycommissioners that desire to lease space from a county public buildingcommission for detention of eligible juveniles, are hereby authorized andempowered to enter into leases without the necessity of any election andwithout regard to K.S.A. 10-1001 to 10-1122, inclusive, and amendmentsthereto or to K.S.A. 79-2925 and amendments thereto for anyperiod of time not toexceed 50 years.
