12-1780a.   Application of act.The provisions of this act shall be applicable toredevelopment districts created after July 1, 2001, however, any city which hascreated a redevelopment district prior to the effective date of this act may,by an ordinance of the governing body, elect to have the provisions of this actapply to such.
