Chapter 12.--CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES
Article 17.--BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND GROUNDS

      12-1790.   Same; advisory board; duties.The governing body of a city establishing a business improvement districtunder the provisions of this act shall provide by ordinance for an advisoryboard for each such district, the members of which shall be representativeof businesses located within the district. The board shallperform such duties as may be prescribed by ordinance and shall, not laterthan May 15 of each year, submit to the governing body a recommended programof services to be performed or provided within the district during the comingcalendar year and a proposed budget to accomplish these objectives. Nothingherein shall prohibit the members of such advisory board from also servingon the board of directors of a not-for-profit corporation withwhich the city may contract to provide specified services within the district,but no member of the board shall, directly or indirectly, receive compensationfor service on the board.
