12-1930.   Same; park and recreation advisory board; membership;appointment; term.The governing body of any city which exercises the provisions ofK.S.A. 12-1929, by ordinance, shall provide for the creation ofa park and recreationadvisory board to be appointed by the governing body of the city. The membersof the recreation commission at the time of such combination shall constitutethe initial park and recreation advisory board. Members shall serve uponsuch park and recreation advisory board for the term for which they wereappointed to the recreation commission and upon the expiration of theterm of any member, appointment shall be made to fill such position fora term of four years. In addition, where the recreation system was beingoperated by a school district or a school district and city acting jointlyprior to combining the park and recreation systems, the city governing bodyshall appoint two members of the board of education of such school districtto the park and recreation advisory board, and such members shall servefor terms concurrent with their terms as members of the board of education.
