12-2716.   Cities owning waterworks may contract for water supply.All cities of the state owning their own waterworks are herebyauthorized and empowered to contract with the United States of America (oran agency or instrumentality thereof) for the furnishing to suchcontracting city a municipal water supply from storage and distributionfacilities constructed and owned by the United States of America pursuantto the acts of congress relating to the reclamation and irrigation of landsand related subjects.
